Every inspection we arrange is mobile. There is no workshop to drive to and no call-out fee inside our service area — the package price is the total price. That matters more on an EV than people expect, because moving a car you have not bought yet is exactly the sort of favour sellers refuse.
Why mobile is the right model for an EV
A conventional inspection usually means the seller driving the car to a workshop. On a used EV that creates two problems. First, you are asking a stranger to give up an hour for a car you might not buy — plenty say no, and the good sellers are not always the patient ones. Second, the most useful tests want the car in its normal environment.
Charging is the clearest example. We want to see the car charge on the seller's own wall box or a nearby public charger, at the state of charge it actually lives at. A pack driven across town that arrives warm and half empty tells a different story to the same pack read where it sits.
Where we come to
Anywhere inside the service area, at whatever address the car is at.
Private sellers at home
The most common booking. We contact the seller, arrange a time and inspect in their driveway. You never have to be the one asking the awkward questions.
Dealer forecourts
We work in dealer yards constantly, book the access ourselves and ask them to have a charger available. A dealer who will not permit an independent inspection has told you something useful.
Workplaces and car parks
Plenty of sellers can only manage a weekday. If the car spends its days in an office car park, we will inspect it there.
Interstate and remote buyers
If you are buying from another state, a mobile inspection is the only practical way to see the car properly before committing. We handle the seller directly; you get the report and a call.
What we bring with us
The equipment is the point, and it is why we match each booking to a mechanic set up for that platform. Battery management system diagnostics for the specific platform, high-voltage isolation testing, thermal imaging on the Complete package, paint depth measurement, and the leads to run a live charge session.
More detail on how state of health is measured, or see how the whole inspection runs from booking to debrief call.
Where we operate
We cover Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, the Gold Coast, Ipswich, Logan City and Redland City, with no call-out fee inside those areas. Each location page lists the suburbs, the typical lead time and local notes.
Outside that footprint we still travel for the right job — call and ask. We will quote the travel up front rather than surprise you with it later.
Questions about mobile inspections
Is there a call-out fee for a mobile inspection?
No, not inside our service area. The package price is the total price whether the car is in the Brisbane CBD or out at Ripley. Island and long-distance jobs are quoted separately and we tell you the number before you book.
Can you inspect a car at a dealership?
Every day. We contact the dealer, arrange access and ask them to make a charger available for the charging test. You do not need to organise any of it.
Can you do a mobile inspection if I am interstate?
Yes, and it is one of the most common reasons people book us. We deal with the seller directly, inspect the car, send the written report inside 24 hours, then call to walk you through it before you commit.
What do you need from the seller?
Access to the car, ideally at around half charge rather than full or nearly flat, and a power point or wall box if one is available. We arrange all of that with them directly.
Can you work around the seller's availability?
We book Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm AEST, and we handle the scheduling with the seller directly so you do not have to. Give us a few days notice where you can — the earlier slots in the week fill first.
Tell us where the car is. We will go to it.
Monday to Friday across Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, no call-out fee.
