Buying an EV in Sydney?
More of Sydney's EVs live in apartment carparks than driveways, and that changes what you're buying. A car charged almost entirely on public DC — the default for anyone without a garage — has had a harder life than the odometer suggests. We read the charging history off the car rather than taking the seller's word for how it was kept.
The other Sydney factor is sheer volume. Novated-lease returns land in batches in the yards along Parramatta Road, at Alexandria and out through Blacktown, and ex-rideshare Model 3s move quickly through wholesale channels. We work in those yards regularly, book the access ourselves, and you don't need to be standing there.
On the coast — Bondi through to Cronulla — we look harder at corrosion around the underbody, subframe fasteners and high-voltage connectors. Salt air is unkind to a car that has spent eight years parked within sight of the water.

Do you charge extra to come to my part of Sydney?
No. Greater Sydney is covered end to end with no call-out fee — Penrith costs the same as Bondi. The package price is the whole price.
How soon can you inspect an EV in Sydney?
One to three days is typical. Sydney has the deepest pool of EV specialists in the country, so same-week slots are usually available even for weekday dealer appointments.
Can you inspect a car in an apartment carpark?
Yes, and in Sydney we do it constantly. We need access arranged with the seller or building management and enough room to work safely around the car. If the basement is too tight, we ask the seller to bring it up to street level.
Do you inspect at Sydney dealerships?
Yes, constantly. The yards along Parramatta Road, through Alexandria and out to Blacktown are used to independent inspections, and we book the access ourselves. If a dealer refuses an independent inspection, that refusal is information worth having.
Can you test DC fast charging in Sydney?
Yes. Sydney has the densest public DC network in the country, so a genuine fast-charge session is normally part of a Complete inspection. The report names the site it was tested at and the rate the car actually achieved.
