Buying an EV in the city?
Almost every inspection here happens underground. That is good news for the battery — no direct sun, stable temperature, none of the heat cycling that ages a pack on an open driveway — and awkward for everything else, because we need a booked access window and a bay we can safely work around. We arrange it with the seller or building management before the day.
The city is also where ex-rideshare and ex-hire cars surface. Mascot, Alexandria and Rosebery sit on the airport corridor, and a Model 3 that spent four years doing airport runs looks identical in a listing to one that did school drop-offs. Charge session counts, seat and trim wear and tyre history tell them apart.
Short city trips are gentler on an EV than most buyers expect — no cold-start engine wear, barely any brake use. What does show up is fast-charging frequency, because a city car without a home charger lives on public DC.

All Sydney areasSuburbs we cover
Every inspection is fully mobile — we come to the car. Anywhere else in the city or inner south, just ask — there is no call-out fee inside the area.
What we see here
Three things city cars bring with them.
Basement logistics
Booked access, a workable bay and lighting. We organise it with the seller or building manager so the day runs.
Ex-rideshare history
Airport corridor cars carry it more often than sellers volunteer it. Charge counts and wear patterns give it away.
Public DC diet
No home charger means a life on fast chargers. We measure what that has actually cost the pack.

Can you inspect a car in an apartment basement?
Yes — it is where most of our city inspections happen. We need access arranged with the seller or building management and enough clearance to work safely around the car. If the bay is too tight, we ask for it to be moved to street level for an hour.
How do you tell if a car was used for rideshare?
Rarely from one thing. Charge session counts against age, driver-seat and steering wheel wear, tyre replacement history, screen burn on high-use displays and service records together build a clear picture — and the report says how confident we are.
Do I need to be there for the inspection?
No, and most city clients are not. We deal with the seller directly, inspect the car, send the written report inside 24 hours and call you to talk it through.
Do you cover Mascot, Zetland and Green Square?
Yes. The full suburb list is above, and everywhere else in the CBD and inner south is covered with no call-out fee.
