Buying an EV in the Inner West?
Most cars here have never had a home charger. That is not a fault in itself, but it changes what the data looks like: more DC sessions, more partial charges, a pack that has been worked differently to a garaged car in the Shire. We read the charging history off the car and tell you whether it matters for the model in front of you.
Street parking leaves marks. Kerbed alloys, scraped bumpers and door dings are near-universal on Inner West cars, and they are cheap to argue down — provided you know about them before you are standing in front of the seller. Damage from a tight-street knock that reached something structural is a different conversation, and that is what the underbody and panel-gauge checks are for.
Stock here skews smaller, cheaper and more often private sale than dealer yard. Private sellers are usually happy for us to attend: we make the call, book the time and ask for a sensible state of charge before we arrive.

What we see here
Three things Inner West cars have in common.
No home charging
Public DC and kerbside charging dominate. We check how the pack has actually responded to it rather than assuming the worst.
Cosmetic damage
Kerb rash, bumper scrapes and door dings, all costed in the report so you can negotiate with numbers instead of adjectives.
Private-sale paperwork
Service history gaps, unresolved recalls and warranty transfer questions are more common outside dealer channels. We check all three.

Can you inspect a car parked on the street?
Yes — most of our Inner West inspections happen at the kerb. We need a legal park and enough room to work safely around the car. If the street is too tight, we ask the seller to move it a block.
Is a car with no home charging a bad buy?
Not automatically. Frequent DC charging accelerates degradation on some chemistries and barely touches others. We measure the pack rather than assuming, and the report says how the charging pattern has actually affected this particular car.
Do you cover Ashfield, Burwood and Strathfield?
Yes. The full suburb list is above, and anywhere else inside the Inner West is covered with no call-out fee.
How long does an inspection take?
About 90 minutes on site for an Essential inspection and closer to two hours for a Complete, plus the charging test where a charger is available. The written report lands inside 24 hours.
