Buying an EV around Parramatta?
The mix out here is unusually wide. A garaged, home-charged family car from Norwest and a hard-run ex-lease SUV that has spent three years on the M4 can be the same model, the same year and within a thousand dollars of each other. The pack figure is what separates them.
It also runs hotter than the coast. Summer temperatures around Parramatta and Blacktown sit several degrees above the eastern suburbs, and heat is the main driver of battery degradation. A car garaged in Castle Hill and one parked on an uncovered driveway in Seven Hills can read very differently at the same age and kilometres.
Commutes are longer here, so odometers are higher. High kilometres matter far less on an EV than on a combustion car — there is no timing chain or turbo ageing out — and a well-kept 90,000km example is often the smarter buy once the battery is measured.

What we see here
What the western Sydney market throws up.
Ex-lease and ex-demo
Well maintained, heavily used, and often sold without the full story. We check service history, warranty transfer and any open recalls.
Heat exposure
Uncovered driveway parking through a western Sydney summer is hard on a pack. We test against the expected curve for this climate, not a European average.
High kilometres
Not the problem buyers assume. We measure state of health and cell balance so the odometer stops being the deciding number.

Do you inspect at Parramatta and Blacktown dealerships?
Yes, regularly. Most yards are comfortable with an independent inspection on site and we book the access ourselves. If a dealer refuses one, that refusal is useful information in itself.
Are high-kilometre EVs from western Sydney worth buying?
Often, yes. Battery state of health, not the odometer, decides an EV’s remaining value — and highway kilometres are gentler on a pack than short cold-start city trips. We give you the measured figure so you can price it properly.
Do you cover the Hills District?
Yes — Castle Hill, Baulkham Hills, Rouse Hill, Kellyville and Norwest are all inside the area, with no call-out fee.
Can you check the seller’s home charger too?
We test the car’s onboard charging and run a live AC session where a charger is available. A fixed wallbox at the seller’s property is not part of the inspection, but we will tell you plainly if the car’s own charging hardware is faulty.
